Does the jellyfish whatever part you get to touch?

We went to the beach. There's so many jeelyfish and I held the jelly part. It was a little icky but good to hold but i didn't get that itchy like they told me. Does it also sting?
Who knows anything about jellyfishes?

Yes, jellyfish sting and it can be quite painful. Jellyfish stings come from the long tenticles that trail underneath the body so you always want to avoid that part. You actually should avoid them altogether since it's easy for one of the tenticles to accidentally touch you and all it takes is a slight touch.
