Do you take FREE stuff?

if it's free & you want it take it. i love to junk. don't do it anymore but i use to do it alot when i had an antique store. was always surprised at what some people threw away.

I like taking free stuff, if I have a use for it. It actually helps the people that put it out, so that they don't have to dispose of it.

Hello mermaidivy, I am a queen of freebies but I never came across something like this here in my country. I don't see people putting good stuff to give away for free. If they do, I won't hesitate to go and grab whatever attracts me. They are giving it for free, right? So, why need to feel ashamed of taking the stuff? Or maybe, I am shameless!

hey if it's free and i could use it i would take it i mean it's better than sitting in the landfill and so if i need something and it says free i have no problems taking it i have done it a few times.

Hi mermaid...I have taken free stuff that people put out in front of their house. I've also had things that we've put out in front of our house taken. Although I probably could wait and have a yard sale, I'd rather just let someone have it for free.

Yes i would take the free stuff if i could use it. Have you heard the saying that one mans junk is another mans treasure..... and no i would not feel bad about doing it. When i have my garage sales i always have a free section on the last day just so i dont have so much left.

If I see things out on a yard and it says free I am more then glad to take it. There is nothing wrong with free. I dont feel embarressed at all doing that. I dont always give things away free in my yard, I go through other sites.

I've never seen anything that was free in a yard for me to get. If it was you better believe if it was something that I could use I would get and not feel embarrassed about it. Everyone here wants to sell everything that they don't want. The only place that I see anything for free is when you go to the dumpster and someone has laid an item on the ground that is still good that they don't want. If you want it you can have it, the only thing that I have gotten from there was an umbrella, the kind that goes on top of your picnic table. Where wasn't anything wrong with it, but I did wait until no one was around before I carried to my car. The funny thing about it was, I kept it for around a year and never used it so I carried it back to the dumpster.

I dont usually see anything around here in my neighbors yard but I have seen listed on craigslist of things that are free...like dirt, rocks... other things too... but if it is something that I am looking for and they are offering I wouldnt feel bad or embarrassed about taking it because I know with everything I have been trying to clean out and get rid of in my house it is a relief when I am able to get rid of stuff...so it would be a relief for them as well to get rid of things they are willing to give away. Like this summer I will be working on our back yard and I will be needing dirt and rocks...therefore I will be looking on craigslist for places to go to... LOL happy mylotting.

I usually like to take free stuff from people too. Anyway, they don't want it, and they won't mind other people taking it. Why not me. I won't feel embarrassed about it. It is free, just free. If no one want it, I want it. It is simple that way. If I don't want certain stuffs, I might sell them. But not on yard sale, maybe through friends, or other craigslist.

Well as far as i know i dont even bargain when i go for shopping in markets so i think this is a unusuall story that i will ever take a free stuff from someone.I dont like it, its not that i am richest person or something but it is that i dont like to take anything in free neither i have ever bargained becuase i feel shy to do so.So i dont ever take free stuffs from anywere.
