my new laptop came with a backpack type case but before that with my old one i had a regular briefcase type laptop case.. i feel as if the backpack is kind of corny but i guess i would get ripped of less since people dont expect people to carry them in that.. what do you use to transport your laptop when you take it away from home?

Well i did have your old briefcase, but decided it was to big. So i whipped out my old book bag and stuff the labtop and my crocheting in it and off i go.

if you decide you dont want the briefcase i can see if my bro will use it.. we didnt give him anything for jays old laptop and he is rough on things so i worry when he brings it to my house it may get bumped around in the car/truck

i use a backpack for transporting my laptop. Im a college kid and i don't really need to get "executive" carrying a breifcase type. And i really like my hands to be free. Besides i have a pretty good backpack

I have a small rolling suitcase I used to use, but one of the wheels fell off, so it's kindof hard to pull. My husband, the king of Freecycle, found a brand new over-the-shoulder laptop case out behind the building. LOL We live in a building full of students, so they're always tossing out something useful, and we end up taking it in and using it. :)

I carry my laptop through a backpack also. I like it that way because its less obvious to robbers rather than the ordinary laptop bag. I also have a stylish shoulder bag that I can carry it but I use the backpack more often.

Welll... I got a targus backpack for mine - I find i like the different larger pouches for cords, hard drives, jump drives and other techy paraphenailia. I also like that i can stick clothes and my wallet and such in there when i travel and not have an extra bag or extra carry on on the airplane or in the car. I tried a reg laptop bag but i found it just didnt have the space for the cords and stuff that i carry around for work.

I had to laugh today i was thinking of this discussion after a lady came in to the store - she wanted a smaller laptop (she bought a netbook in the end) because she wanted to fit it in the diaper bag so she could check things really quick while out and about with her new baby.
