I read today that a delusion is when one believes a theory to be fact.. What delusions do YOU believe are loose in the world?

Global warming is a delusion, I believe. It totally ignores the cycles of the earth. In the 70's we were told we were entering another ice age and that was false, too, because the earth was in a temporary cooling period. But a lot of people made money off that scare, just as they are with the warming theory.

I'm convinced the global warming hype is what made gas prices soar not so long ago..

In my opinion, with the vast opinions and versions over the internet, it seems very difficult to identify between a fact or delusion. Even scientific proofs may not be real proofs. Life is an in itself, and so delusions is in the mind of the beholder. LOL.

...the thing I find fascinating is that so many believe in many scientific proofs which don't actually exist!
