Why are christians so divided ????

Earlier I was of this opinion that there are only two types of sects in Christianity Roman Catholics and protestants.........
When I came here to mylot i was surprised to find so many different types of christian sects.....Mar Thoma, Jacobite, New life, Adventist and so on......i just cant understand why are Christians so divided.......offcourse I read the story about Martin Luther king and why he decided to be a protestant.......but these days so many sects within the same religion......it can be really confusing for people of the other faith.........cant it be just clubbed as Christians ?????
I believe even god will not like this.......
what are your views on this my friends ????

I agree, it is not a good thing but as commentd, satan will make it his mision to devide the church and cause confusion. My sugestion is for all diffirent denominations get together and write down all the things they disagree about. Then they must write down all the things they do agree with 100%. Then they must throw the list with disagreements in the dustbin and agree to only preach the things they agree on.
I am sure if you take the list of things that all agree on, you will find the main and most important message of the Bible. That is, God Is, He loved the world so much that He gave His only Son, Jesus Christ, so that all who believe might not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). That is what the Bible is all about.
The rest is to show God's dealings with his people, and also the godless people. I shows God's relationship with those who believe, and it is about hope for those who love Him but go through life's dificulties.
Sorry for the semon, but i just could not stop once I got started, this excites me very much. Maybe I should become a minister...LOL, what do you think.

Yes it was long but very interesting sermon......:)
Well i just wish we could do something like this.......but still it will not be so peaceful......their hearts and soul would not settle down until they have it their own way......all we can do right now is pray......god can certainly do things which is impossible......

Oh yes you would become a good minister.......but please don't come up with yet another sect.....lolzz.....
