Yes, it is true.
The US government has developed high tech surveillance blimps to spy on Americans. Here is but one of many links one finds when googling "surveillance blimps".
http://www.freemarketnews.com/WorldNews.asp?nid=15095
Also interesting is the information that these blimps are being used in the Iraq and Afganistan wars. This is proven technology, not some technocrat's fantasy.
I say that if the USA wants to use these things to fight wars, that is one thing, but using them to spy on Americans is something else. Is the government at war with Americans?
What do you say?

It is not about being "at war" with the American people. It is all about being in control and having power.
If they know everything that is happening; they have power. And, by knowing everything that is going on, they know if someone is getting ready to try to take that power away from them and can take steps to nuetralize or eliminate the threat.

Yes, it is about being at war with the American people. There are degrees of intensity of warfare. Being in control and having power is just a successful form of warfare where you take minimum casualties and do not have to kill your enemy or be violent. Make no mistake about it. Spy blimps over major cities is conducting surveillance for the purpose of a type of warfare. Most people don't understand that the exercise of control and power is just warfare conducted by other means.
That's why these blimps are operated by the Pentagon and not the Department of Interior, the Bureau of Land Management, NOAA weather service, or some other civilian agency.

I do agree that no one is fighting this as of yet. We only disagree as to what constitutes a war.

Sorry; but, when there is only one side "fighting" - that is not a war - that is a "take-over".
To the best of my knowledge, no one in our country has even attempted to destroy or take down a single one of the surveilance operations or the entities that are in charge of them. So, at this point it in not a "war". Whether it will become a war in the future when enough people get fed up to the point whre they are willing to take action is anyones guess. Most Americans are to worried about and concerned about their own day to day existance that they are not really worried about "the big picture" and are definitely not interested in interrupting their lives to take any action on a scale required to call this a "war".
If you do have PROOF that I am not correct about this being one-sided; please present your evidence.

Paranoia. I find that some governments are just paranoid and these types of actions demonstrates that.
I recently heard the the use of chem trails is for a form of surveillance as well.
Somehow it helps oversee the airspace. It is said to be from the Russians..
I have no idea what the world is coming to, America or otherwise. I shake my head in disbelief most of the time because it becomes very overwhelming.
Bottom line, I think all these gimmicks is about the ultimate control.
Thank you for the link though. Interesting read.
Nothing surprises me anymore.

I believe that the blimps do exist as well as other forms of remote air crafts, for purpose of surveillance.
I have heard the chem trails being used for weather mod.
As well as H.A.R.P.
Thanks for your comment. Cheers.

Given the recent actions by DHS with the release of those rightwing extremist reports.... they also released one about the left.... and some of the other news items I have seen, I would have to say yes.
We have a situation where our government is now afraid of the average American, and anyone outside of DC is a suspected terrorist.
Our government has clearly turned on us, and it is seeking to control what we do, say, and even think.
It wants to control us... to regulate us,just like the USSR, China, and others control their populations.
We have a bunch of mindless sheep who are willing to let the government do that, and who actually want the government to have the power.
These useful idiots have no clue to what that would mean for everyone including themselves.
DHS and the Patriot Act are very dangerous to Americans.
Here is a little something that came in this morning...

We are in agreement. That people would trust the government to have this much power and control seems very foolish. Such power will corrupt, it will be abused.

Just recently I have come to believe the government IS at war with Americans because the things they are doing are going against us. The present administration is trying to trash our Constitution, socialize our free market society and give us a national health care system that will let people die waiting for medical care. Sounds like war to me.

I agree with you. There are levels of intensity in warfare. Gaining info for the purpose of harming someone is war without the shooting.

This really doesn't surprise me much. Pretty soon we are all going to be robotic in our lifestyles. 0bama and his socialist ideas will be telling us when to sleep, when to eat, where to work, how long to work and they'll basically tell us everything we shouldn't be doing and should be doing and when to do it.
I personally am contemplating a move to Canada, but I hate cold weather. That's why I live in the bay area. Pretty much warm or at least tolerable year round.
According to ABC news, it's already happening online:

Nah, instead of moving, let's take a lesson from the tea parties. Let's have a voter rebellion instead and have the politicians move out of D.C. Besides, Canada is socialist and becoming more so every day.
