Domestic Extremism Lexicon by DHS, Who isn't a terrorist now?

In the report called the "Domestic Extremism Lexicon" put out by Homeland Security the just about everyone is now a "domestic terrorist". anti-tax movements,pro-environment groups,Jewish "extremists", animal rights extr, Christian identity , black separatism, anti-abortion, anti-immigration, anti-technology, Cuban independence and tax resistance , to name a few... it keeps going. The report said tax resistance extremists are people who "vehemently believe taxes violate their constitutional rights ... Members (of this group) have been known to advocate or engage in criminal activity and plot acts of violence and terrorism in an attempt to advance their extremist goals." It also said "alternative media" as something sinister . Meaning blogs, sites like this one, and other littler know newsites. "Alternative media" is "a term used to describe various information sources that provide a forum for interpretations of events and issues that differ radically from those presented in mass media products and outlets," the report says. Why don't they jsut come out and say it. In their eyes WE ARE ALL TERRORISTS and just be done with it. SO bloggers are sinister. Anyone not completely in agreeance at all times is an possible terrorist. Obama must obviously agree with this and other recent Homeland Security actions and reports because has done nothing about it's actions or the person heading it. Personally I think she should be fired. What does this report mean to you? What should be done about it? Are you willing to change how you think and feel so you won't be on this list?

I've been warning folks about writing on this site for a couple of months now. I can keep writing because I fit all of the other descriptions that DHS has had for awhile. I was in the military, I am anti abortion, I am pro environment but not fanatical about it I just plant trees everywhere.lol I am Jewish which of course sets me up for all kinds of anti stuff. I have been to Cuba a bunch of times even though we aren't allowed to go there unless we don't spend money. Now how do you go someplace cool like that and not spend money. And just how much money do you think expat Cubans are sending there every month. Gert real. I think I know who should really be in the top 10 or 20 of the DHS list. Think you could name a few? And they shore ain't the taliban or AlQaeda. Shalom~Adoniah

They have discovered that they can! There is no one to stop them. They do not live by the rule that "JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN DOESN'T MEAN YOU SHOULD!" They live by "I CAN THEREFORE I WILL" Shalom

Well I am a Domestic Extremist I guess because I am anti-tax, I am not sure what Jewish extremist is but I probably am, and I am anti-illegal immigration does that count. As to the last I am all for immigration but if you come you are on your own. Well the government view us the same way they viewed our founding father, so we are in good company. We should not get depressed by this, nor ashamed either. We should wear this as a badge of honor. So let the government write there little list, I give no thought to it, I actually laugh at it. Is this their attempt to down grade my opinions and view, well it just streghten them.

According to them the only ones that are not terrorists are far left liberals, those who believe in same gender marriages, abortion up to the moment of birth, homosexuals and lesbians who do not want to change and revel in their immorality, and any of any religion who does not follow the moral code of their beliefs. So that means that quite a number of us including myself are very dangerous and I am not even American. So if anyone you get those emails that ask you to fax your senators to fire tis woman, you should. (It is for Americans only) Hut if there are any emails asking people outside the States to sign a petition to get rid of that female I will sign.

You are right that this woman needs to fired and the policies of homeland security changed to actually protect the citizens of this country instead using the department as a political weapon.

...I knew it was only a matter of time before they said all of us in the alternative news movement were the bad guys. "Radically different" is basically just another way of saying, "THEY DON'T AGREE WITH US, OMG! That's...evil!" Thing is, we're pretty much the last representation, the last symbol for freedom of speech in this country. We're the guys who chronicle and keep track of all this stuff, so that others may be more informed and get things done. Most of us want to improve the quality of the lives around us. To say we're the bad guys...it says alot about them, doesn't it? I won't change myself because of something they think. A teenager was "disappeared" last week, by DHS, and they said she was a terrorist. As far as I can tell, there was no evidence to support this and she wasn't even apart of a movement as far as I know...so yeah, we're all in trouble. What should we do? Try to look after eachother. Keep track of eachother. Make sure SOMEONE will talk about it, if something happens to us. Protect ourselves, stay peaceful, keep talking, keep up what we're doing.

Someone on CNN referred to Janet Napolitano and Mrs. Potato Head earlier this evening and I had to laugh! He's a terrorist, she's a terrorist...everyone's a terrorist! No way am I willing to change the way that I think or what I believe and no way to I care what this wackjob thinks about me. She's an embarassment, her department is a joke and Obama needs to get rid of her.

Getting rid of her will not doing anything enless their policies change along with her. They will just replace her with someone else who thinks and does the same things otherwise.

Lil, it isn't like she made the list herself, this is a list of groups that have extermist members that have committed crimes in the past, and may in the future. Remember after 9/11? Our government tapped into millions of conversations by people inside the US, and outside. The same department of homeland security that you are bashing was used by the Bush administration to scare Americans into reelecting Bush. Remember when DHS would have a press conference just after any major speach that John Kerry gave? This department was used in the past by the Bush administration to strike fear into the minds of all Americans. Now it is being used to inform Americans of possible links between groups of Americans, and terrorist organizations. Could you imagine if Al Queda would have funded groups like the Michigan milita, or other groups that spawned the Oklahoma City bombings? These are informative statements released to the public the same way that the Bush administration did. I never heard any people complaining about it at the time (even when they released the names of people that posed no threat the United States, and DHS couldn't even explain their actions during the press conference).

I have been screaming sence it was thought up. All the way through the house and congress. When it went up for a vote. The whole nine yards. But no one listened to me. Now look waht happened. Bush abused his power. HOmeland security Abuses it power and now Obama is abusing his power. I was hoping the cycle would end. After all obama said repeatedly on teh campaign trail he was going to "get rid of the patriot act". Well not only has he not got rid of it but he has asked for it to be expanded. I am not a Bush fan. I was sooo glad when he left. I was hoping the police state measures woudl be stopped. But they seem to only be getting worse.
