So president Barack Obama and vice president stopped for a little burger lunch in Arlington, Virginia. Is this such a great and important news that it is hitting the headlines of all newspapers?? I respect the work he's doing and would like to read more on that... but reading so much in details about his stopover at a burger joint.. are we not diving in too much making his private life public instead of focusing on more important matters???

This reminds me of one of the Bill Clinton Sketches Saturday Night live did years ago. He went to McDonald's and started eating other peoples french fries. I expect a rehash/remix/carbon copy of that on this weekends show.
The news media has turned into the tabloid/gossip media. Why do they cover insignificant stories like this? I don't really know. To tell you the truth, I have a butt load of theories as to why, but most of them don't make any since when I say them out loud for some reason.
I guess they figured since a lot of young people like my self voted for the guy, everybody HAS TO KNOW about his wife's dresses, the day they finally got the dog, what kind of smart phone Obama has, etc. I can't think of any other reason for the media to become such leeches all of the sudden.
Maybe this is all part of the future of news coverage. Rick Sanchez is leading the way with his Twitter integration for his show. Maybe instant feedback and a wave of unneeded information are the wave of the future. I wish we could have one without the other, but it doesn't look that way.
