I died as I tried to prosper in my long life. It was cut short by a tornado a few years back. This photo shows my limbs lying beside my trunk and me just lying here rotting away slowly. I love seeing this tree each year when I walk through the local Nature Center near my house. The hole etc gets larger each year as various critters use me as a hiding space and to stash food morsels etc. Do you like seeing dead trees such as this one and look at them as a piece of art and not dead wood?
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Yes, I think they're quite interesting to look at. They seem to have character, don't you think?
There is a place I go to called Buchan Country Park. It's in the heart of St. Leonard's Forest, and there are some fallen trees and some which have been struck by lightening which some artistic people have carved. They're quite interesting too. I'll see if I can find you a pic. Ah yes, here's one of a fallen tree, which has been carved into the shape of a God's face, or something. I believe it might be a Sun God.
Brightest Blessings.

I have really great memories of seeing trees fallen in the woods at my grandparents. Lots of life in them yet with lichens growing on them and flowers around them. I also love to see drift wood. We had a bad winter one year at a nearby lake and lots of ice damage. The wood was so beautiful as it weathered. We could see different things when we looked at it. One family picked up a huge piece as they were making a habitat for their iguana.
