This shot shows my first ever Yellow Pear Tomato plant. It has a blossom alreaqdy on it. We had frost this weekend and I covered most my plants to protect them. I can almost taste the tomatoes now. Hahaha! But it'll be 60 days or so until they are ready I think. Bummer. Do you get impatient waiting to watch your garden grow and ready to pick? I want these tomatoes and I want them now. LOL. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Yes I can't wait as well, but when they start look out you will have more then you want. Or even give away. that is how it goes. Nice pic. ours are not even that big yet. So you have a great day now

I also noticed that I have a plant of my daughters and she has one of mine that we all bought Sunday. Too late now, as mine are in the ground and watered etc. She has my Celebrity variety tomato and I have an extra Olive Grape one. HAHAHA! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

i love growing tomatoes, and i have some in my cold frame. they will be moved into the greenhouse as they get bigger, but they have some flowers already. i have limited space in my greenhouse as my 4 cats go in there during the day. this year i have staggered the growing of tomatoes, i started them off early and then sowed more seeds a month later, so hopefully tomatoes right up to autumn! i have lots of plants coming along and it gets frustrating as you know eventually they will fill the containers and flower beds up. but when they are still little you look at them and think , 'perhaps i should have planted them closer together' . but in past years i did just that and oh dear, plants all crammed together. not good. i just have to be patient. some thing not all gardeners are.

That's great GrandpaBob, your tomato plant is growing real well. I only planted one tomato plant and it is a dud, it looks like it is going to die on me. I guess I should have planted more than one just in case one didn't make it. However, my pepper plants are striving, and I do see a sign of a pepper in the making. If I think of it I will take a picture so you can see my plant growth.

Yes I do get impatient, it seems to take so long for everything to grow. One thing with green beans and cucs too, they are quick and won't take long before you can pick and eat. I look forward to fresh tomatoes, the only thing disappointing with them about the time they get to ripening summer is getting close to being over with. One thing thats good with the end of summer, it sure is good yummy healthy eating time.

Hi Grandpa Bob! I have been known to be slightly impatient at times myself so I know how you feel . Last year we got some tomato plants given to us by a friend and I planted them and couldn't wait for the tomatos to start coming! I checked them every day until finally they came!

I can't wait until your pear tomatoes are rip and ready either. I am so curious to hear what they taste like and how they look. Since I have no garden then I am not impatient waiting. hahaha

Hello Grandpa Bob. Good to know that your yellow pear tomato plant is growing well. I hope that you can taste them soon. Well, there are some fruit trees in front of our building. When they are growing, I wish to be able to eat them when they are mature. I think that I am patient for them. lol

Oh that is so cool! I bought a big tomato plant about a month ago and have it planted but so far no blossoms. How long should it take before I get a nice blossom like you have? I have never heard of a Yellow Pear Tomato before. Do they taste like a regular red tomato? Have a nice day and happy myLotting!!

That is a beautiful plant! I am glad that you were able to protect it! We are supposed to be getting a frost tonight, so covering my plants is on my to-do list for this afternoon! I am just like you! As soon as I put the seed in the ground, I am ready to have the fruits of my labor! There is nothing better than produce that is picked ripe from the plant and then eaten right away! It makes me wonder how people stick with produce from the grocery store all of the time!
