WHAT DO YOU THINK OF CAB DRIVERS????

I'm not a fan of cab drivers in general. There are the few nice ones that I have encountered but the vast majority of them are rude I have found. If they aren't rude then they're always driving around the city like they need to get you where you want to go in five minutes. I've had ones that just sit there on their cell phones while driving and those have to be the ones that drive me crazy the most. Sometimes I wonder who granted some of them drivers licenses in the first place. If they aren't dangerous drivers they're new to the city and have no idea where they're going. I've had an experience with a cab driver that was pretty crappy. The driver said he knew where I was going and then proceeded to take the longest time to get there. I hate that they do this just to get more money. Most of the time when I get home from being out there in a cab that's given me a bad experience, if it's a terrible ride, I'll call and complain to the dispatch about the problem. I'll give them the cab driver's number and they'll take it from there. I had to report one driver and let the cab company know one time to never send that driver here ever again. It was a really bad trip and I remember the driver was beyond mean the entire time I was on my way home. He was talking loudly on his cell phone and driving like a jerk. It didn't help he was having a little session of road rage the entire way from my old work place to my home. It completely disgusted me. I've been through other things involving cab drivers who are idiots. There has been times when I'm trying to cross at an intersection, for example and I've almost been run over. Some crazy cab driver who needed to go pick up a fare drove past me and obviously didn't see me. At least that's what I thought was the reason he blared past me with no concern for my well being at all. I like cab drivers who are considerate and who genuinely seem to care about their passenger's well being. I've had a few drivers get me to where I needed to go and they made the ride very enjoyable. I like when you can talk to one of them without getting rude feedback and instead actually have a half decent conversation. It helps to make the ride go faster when this happens. So, in conclusion, there a quite a few reasons why I dislike the majority of cab drivers out there. I will say this, there are exceptions to that rule too. Not all cabbies are mean, rude men with their eyes filled with dollar signs whenever someone gets a ride from them. Some drivers actually do care about their passengers.
