I read in an article online that vanilla ice cream a home remedy for hyperacidity. Do you agree with this? Has anyone actually tried it?

hi silverglint, my dear friend, i agree to it becasue once my hubby had acidity and it was a very bad one. he started puking so we called our doctor, and the first thing he said was that make him eat vanilla ice cream before he reaches to our place. so from that day, we always havea family pack of vanilla ice crean always in our refrigerator. it works and and is very good . my hubby really got relief and then he asked him to eat bananas.

Thanks for confirming with your experience. Not everybody would readily believe that vanilla ice cream, which are considered to be junk food by some, would actually be a remedy to something like hyperacidity. Its a really yummy remedy too. hehe

I have never heard of this so of course I have never tried it. I don't understand how it would calm hyperactivity if it is loaded with sugar. Maybe if you eat ice cream sweetened with splenda maybe. lol. :-P Will check this discussion to see what others have to say about it. Have a great night!
