What could the problem be with my Van!!??? :(

Okay for those of you who read a previous post from me, you should remember that my husband hit a moose about 2 weeks ago. From what we could see the only damage was the windshield and a dent in the hood. Now, My husband was able to get it started with a jump start but while it's running the headlights wont turn off and the lights on the dashboard keep flickering. My husband hasnt had the ride to get out to where our van is to fix it but he will have a ride in about a week or so to go look it over. We think it might be the battery causing it but then again it could be something more serious. We only have limited money to fix this as we have a new baby on the way and we need our van back asap. If anyone has any ideas or knows what it could be I would be so happy to hear what you have to say. I'm just stressing out, with 3 children in the house they are getting very antsy and want to go places. I would also like to bring my new daughter home in our car and not have a friend have to bring me home from the hospital. Thank you all so much for reading. I'd like to hear your response.
