Squirrels! Does it seem like they have a death wish or what?

I went for coffee last night with a friend of mine. On the drive home one of the little varmints it seemed waited until the last possible second to dart out in front of her car. It just barely made it across the street. Have you ever had a similar experience? Were you able to avoid whatever animal it was?

Maybe they need the adrenaline rush?
I have seen it many times Squirrels,ground hogs and possums they seem to have a need to always want on the other side..at the most opportune moment. Maybe they were dared..or are daredevils, but I guess until they learn to talk or we learn to talk their language we will just have to assume they are little thrill seekers.
