Gilly-one man army???? Dude, I'm a hyderabadi and a true supporter of the Chargers. But it shocks and angers me when people say that the Deccan Chargers won because of Adam Gilchrist or even Gibbs. Each and evert member of the squad played his part in the success the team has had this season. Gilly didn't even score a run in the final, remember. While the local lad Harmeet Singh( of whom I hadn't even heard of before the tournament) actually stood up when it mattered most. R.P. Singh is not the purple cap winner for nothing. Its the team thats won, not just one man as you may believe. On the hindsight though, I would not ignore the contribution he's made or the effect he's had on the team as the captain. Lifting the spirits of the team when the morale is down is mark of a great champion. The same can also be said of Shane Warne who won the IPL last season.

I also think RP Singh has done a very good job and he should be in the team India.

LOL! the players u mentioned above played well due to gilly's good captaincy!he is always cool with players, bowlers in times where they give sixes, fours 4m opponent teams.he was still encouraging the bowlers that it doesnt matter to give six.this tendancy led the bowlers to bowl good in consecutive overs.iam telling gilly is good as overall performance as captain.ok.try 2 understand.by the way iam not discriminting the players and they also did well

Yeah, Gilly is good, although Mat hayden is the leading batsman. Do you think Gilly will play next year, he is turning 40 soon. Well, my team was strongly on their way but fell out the bus somewhere, R.Royals. I will wait to see next year who plays for which team then I will select a favourite. I am just honoured that the IPL was hosted in my country, and I am pleased for what it did for our people. We are very thankfull to India for bringing this spectacular event to us, it was great. You are welcome to bring it here any time again. Next up, T20 world cup - who will be victorious? South Africa maybe??? Go Cricket

Well, we as Indians are happy too to see the people of South Africa actually accepting the event with open arms. The crowd support was pleasing to see and the opening and closing ceremonies were great too. Hats off to SA for organising the IPL in such a short span of time. Hope next year's FIFA world cup will be a spectacle too. Cheers.

I think Gilly will play for another two three years. I think Adam Gilchrist is fit and is a very good player.

I also think Adam Gilchrist had done a very job to win the IPL cricket. I think Gilchrist should have certainly played in 20/20 world cup for World Cup. I think IPL matches were very close ones and certainly most of the players felt lots of pressures and done the best in the IPL cricket.
