Problem with some immigrants and others.

Although I myself am mixed I totally agree with what you are saying. In fact, it has gotten so bad that I get people coming up to me and starting a conversation in Spanish automatically assuming I can or will answer back. Although I am trilingual (English, Spanish and Italian) I choose to give them a bit of a hard time so that they know that I shouldn't have to twist and bend to their advantage but ,au contraire, they should bend to ours. I was born in USA and although there are things this country has done and still does that I sometimes am not proud of, I still love it and believe that we are ONE NATION UNDER GOD and those who come here should totally respect that.

I understand your feelings to a "T". Here in Canada,thatnks to our traitorous prime minister Trudeau,we have two official languages,English and French,and if you can't speak both,you can not work for the federal government. As for the immigrants,thanks to the same prime minister,we had to change the uniform of the R.C.M.P.,we had to change our custom of taking off headgear when entering our Veterans clubs,and while it is basically illegal for our kids to wear knives to scoll (or basicaly anywhere),their kids can,all in the name of religion. Now we are becomming the second class citizens in our own country because of being so stupid. And now,by regulations of the governments and mylot,I am sorry if this offends anyone.

And somebody here on this thread is missing the whole point of this discussion. Since you're so keen on looking up stuff online, maybe you should try researching illegal immigrants in the USA, or even better, try looking up "anchor babies". What a great philosophy that one is, a pregnant women comes to our country illegally, spouts out her kid, and we the American taxpayers get to foot the bill for that kid for it's entire life-and it gets to be an American citizen on top of that :0 Isn't that special? I don't think anyone here so far in this discussion is against immigrants. I lived in Florida for years, and personally know a lot of people that have emigrated here to the US from all over the world. The problem is with the ILLEGAL immigrants, those that choose to disregard the laws of our country-by them coming to our country illegally they're already considered a criminal, and do what they please, sponge off us hard working US citizens, and demand equal rights even though they don't belong here and therefore are not entitled to "equal rights". Then they have the nerve to say our laws aren't fair to them, and burn and step on our flag and replace it with theirs. I have no problem with someone being patriotic to their homeland, but if you've moved to the US, then you have to show some patriotism to this country-otherwise go home. Illegal immigrants are a slap in the face to every immigrant that chose to go about the legal and right way to come to our country. My favorite quote...."I shouldn't have to push 1 for English"!!!!!
