Scripture - John 20:13-16 'And they aked her, "Woman, why are you crying?" "They have taken my Lord away," she said, "and I don't know where they have put Him." T this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realise that it was Jesus. "Woman," He said,"Why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?" Thinking He was the gardener, she said,"Sir, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you have put Him, and I will get Him." Jesus said to her,"Mary." She turned toward Him and cried out in Aramaic,"Rabboni!" (which means Teacher). Mary knew Jesus very well but here she did not recognise Him. Only when He called her by her name, did she realise that it was her Lord that was with her. When one read the part where she cried out 'Rabboni", one can sense an excitement in her. Exciting to see her Lord and hear Him call her name. That is how I want my relationship to be with the Lord. If I hear the voice of my Lord, my Rabboni, then I also want to get excited. The more we get to know the Lord, the more we will hear His voice, because he is speaking to us daily through His Spirit. We are sometimes just so far removed from Him that we do not recognise His voice. What a priveledge wee have to be able to communicate with Rabboni, and He is not silent. He calls us by the name. May you also hear Him call your name, and you can cry out with joy "Rabboni"
