Saddam Husein the previous president of Iraq was hanged after being judge by an American court for crimes that he didn't do ... American government intend to kill him on 30-12-2006 ... which is a holy day in Islam ... it's called Eid AL-Adha in which people go to visit Makka in Sudia Arabia and slaughter goats and give them to poor people ... Is it legal to kill the president of one of the largest and most famous Arab countries??? do you think he was killed just because he is Arab??? was he guilty???

One of the biggest mistakes of American foreign policy and diplomacy, if you ask me. America had no business invading Iraq and trying Saddam. Whatever crimes he committed, weren't directly against the USA. The Americans acted like bullies and their only reason is the vast reserves of oil that Iraq has. America needs oil and its dependency on the gulf countries ties its hands on many issues...so ideally I think American wants to have a country under its thumb which can supply it oil at its own terms. Its quite the same with Afghanistan...I have heard that Afghanistan has huge reserves of natural gas, which again can be tapped for western interests...even the USSR invaded Afghanistan for the same reason.

As far as I have read and seen the comments from people in his country he killed many innocent people simply because they didn't agree with him and I believe that was thousands and even members of his own family, I think it is a well known fact that he was a hitler type person and as far as i am concerned he was a cancer to this world.

I have asked this question as well.. I that he was murdered for oil profits. Sadaam had to be eliminated so certain people in power could gain access to oil profits in The Middle East. I will admit, our government is not unfamiliar to shady tactics. And during the term (reign) of George W. Bush, a lot of shady business went down. It was definitely a statement that he ws killed during Eid as well. Look on my profile and listen to the song Bin Laden on my playlist its number 86.

I am sorry he was killed on your religious holiday. I didn't personally know that. In my opinion it should have been postponed. I disagree with his innocense, but it is just my personal view. I really don't think it's ever right to kill a person. Life shouldn't be taken by anyone. Whether it was him taking lives or anyone else. I don't believe capital punishment solves anything. I am an American and will always try to see the different sides of a situation. Politics is definately not my greatest area because I simply wish the world could just all get along and live peacefully. I know that sounds unreachable, but I do hope someday we'll all consider eachother equals. I'm just one person, but I wish I myself could make a positive impact for understanding in some way.

Christians and Jews are actually more safe and protected during his regime because he is actually a secular president. For some reason American media portrayed him as an Islamist with Weapons of Mass destruction. He is too busy writing romance novels to have such ambitious plans.

USA invaded Iraq just to get hold of its OIL. USA could not find any WMD in Iraq. So should it not pay the cost of War to Iraq?
