Gross... But who else has this problem...

Okay, so I know that I'm not the only person that has to use the restroom when I get up in the morning, but I am always freakin constipated when I get up. I can feel the pressure and I always have to tinkle immediately but then like clockwork, ten minutes of walking around and I'm ready to finish my business. Its weird, but I just can't go until I've walked around for a bit. I know that exercise helps with digestion but does it help with anything else? Does anyone know? Are their any digestion doctors around mylot that can let me know?

It may not be a digestion issue...have you contacted your doctor?

I haven't... I've seen the same guy for years, from everything from smelly feet to making babies and every time I go I mean to ask him... I want to ask him... I am just to embarrassed to do it. Totally sucks.

Don't be embarrassed about something that could be harmful in the end. Better safe than sorry I always say. Ask your doctor, if he has any ideas ask for him tot test for them.

Prune juice! It works like a dream. Drink about 4-6 oz before you go to bed and come the morning it will be a natural occurrence for you to go to the bathroom! I posted a discussion on vinegar yesterday and someone posted a great tip on using Pineapple vinegar with bananas and ice cubes blended together for relief! Personally I have never seen or heard of Pineapple vinegar but I am sure to be on the lookout for it! OOphs I think my prune juice from last night is kicking in .... gtg :)

I know that prune juice is good, but I just couldn't do it. The pineapple vinegar with bananas worked, but it worked way to well, if you get what I mean! Thanks for the hints though!

Try eating something or drinking a hot liquid like tea or coffee. As someone else has already posted, the muscles in your lower intestinal tract need time to "wake up" and start functioning again. You wouldn't want them to continue working all night long or you could find yourself getting up during the night to go. If you are truly constipated when you do go (dry or hard stools) try increasing the amount of fiber and roughage in your diet.

It may just be that your muscles need to get moving a bit. There are tons of muscles in your stomach. Moving around may get the blood flowing to those muscles to allow you to excrete the waste. At night, those muscles probably stay engaged so that the waste isnt removed into your bed! Also make sure you are drinking enough water. That really does help with all bodily functions!
