Does your cat act like a dog?

Tabby, has been around for some time. We found her as a kitten in a neighbors yard. He, of course, did not want her.
She was skinny and frail, and looked like she had been abandoned. Now, that i think back, i wonder if she came from the woods out there.
Her tail is short, and crooked on the end. She has never acted like other cats, and never does like other house cats around.
Recently she got into a fight with an oppossum. Of all things to fight with, and it ripped open her belly, which i have been putting medication on ... when she is in a fairly good mood.

Sometimes I think my cat thinks she is a dog. She has a tendency to want to follow me when I go on a walk. She follows me all the way and back. When I walk across the street to do my secretarial work at the church she follows me and sits and waits until I come back out. How strange is that? She is definitely NOT a lover or cuddler though. She does not like to be picked up, but will sit on your lap if she so chooses. I guess they all have their own personalities just like people!

Mine is a lot like that. I try not to let her follow me out of the yard though.
When i walk in the yard, she is usually right between my feet or directly in front of them, and if i get too fast, or she thinks she hears something, she will hiss at me.

I swear that my cat thinks he is a dog! He greets everyone at the door. He listens to verbal commands. He is always demanding attention. Definitely not your typical cat!
I am glad that I dont have to deal with wounds like that. We dont let the cat outside. If we did, I can only imagine what would happen to him!
Im glad that your cat is ok.
