Earlier,I got this friends request from a new mylotter with 0 posts, last week.I have the practice of accepting all requests but I denied this one as he was having no posts or responses.Again today I saw him requesting again.Getting interested,I checked his profile. He is here for 4 weeks and had made 488 friends. But so far,he has not made a single post or response. What would be his motive of going on making friends alone? Is there any reason to accept his request?

Hi srganesh!
It seems he's been doing this for a while because there are other discussions talking about him - so he's famous!
I left him pending so that he cannot request again. I don't accept users with 0 posts unless I am certain it is a friend who has returned. Never know what it is that he is up to and I prefer not to find out

You too? I wondered what was going on with this. I was not sure what to think. This seemed quite strange to me that someone would be requesting friendship at my lot and not even have done one post.

Yes!I really wonder what this guy was about. And I made this post to bring awareness with mylot members.Should we encourage this or report this? Can this be taken of some sort of violation?I can't judge the fact and I am here for your ideas.Cheers!

I ain't much of an expert on such stuff; but as I see from other discussions it looks like you should stay away from such members. Their only motive is gathering a number of friends and send their referral links of various stupid programs to them. This very much accounts to spamming and you'll find it very irritating in the later course. So you better stay away from him/er. If you want you can check there are similar discussions.

When I see someone with 0 posts wanting to be my friend, I don't accept them. I did before I realized that they are probably just here to get referrals and nothing more, and not contributing to the discussions whatsoever. People like that have no business coming in here trying to get referrals for some dumb programs that are probably a scam anyway. From now on, I am not going to accept anyone with 0 posts. Well, tale care amd happy mylotting.

You have stated the same reason by another friend cannibal here.Well,we need not encourage people to earn referrals alone without contributing here.He/she could come out open asking for that even.He remains a silent spectator and let him enjoy it alone.Cheers!
