Do you find thunderstorms scary or exciting?

Myself, I love the power of the sky and of weather. I love watch a storm approach and hear the rain and thunder and see the lightning flashes. As long as no one is hurt and they do not destroy anything, I find thunderstorms exciting as opposed to scary.
How about you? Do thunderstorms scare you or excite you, and why?Karen

I really like thunderstorms me and my dad used to sit on the porch and watch the lightning and thunder. It is very interesting. I just don't like when it causes problems for people and destroys things.

Yes I know I hate when it dose damages. And we are having a real bad one right now. Thunder lightning there expecting hail and put us in a tornado watch.
This is not good I don't like these kind of storms. just the soothing quiet rain thunder and lightning.

I love thunderstorms. I find them exciting because I'm always waiting for the next flash of lightning and the sound of thunder. Plus, I'm a lifeguard and so whenever we hear thunder (or see lightning) we have to clear the pool for 20 mins and that means a 20 min break for us!

I enjoy thunderstorms. THere are times when the lighting gets real bad and kind of scares me but I enjoy the rain and thunder.

My two grown daughters and myself love any type of storms but thunderstorms are the best. They are exciting and scary all at the same time. In fact today the wind started to brew and we actually thought a storm was coming but it never materialized. I just love when the wind starts to brew and hearing the first raindrops falling. When the thunder starts clapping wow with the lightening flashing its just so exciting. As long as no one gets hurt or their homes damaged thunderstorms are fun to experience.

karen... I like thunderstorms as a powerful natural phenomenon ..but anyway I feel scary... for example yesterday we had in NY a good one..since I wasn't born here.. it's the third time I experience that.. I felt like we were attacked by terrorist or something.. it was like a explosion.. and the walls were literally like shaking.. everybody wake up it was around 3 am.. the sound was powerful...

Eek! Yes, the kind that rattle windows and such can be a bit daunting, especially when they wake you from a sound sleep! And I don't like it when the power goes out, but I do find most storms exciting for some reason. : )

i find thunderstorms to be both scary and exciting at the same time i am excited and fascinated by them but at the same time i know that there is danger in them with the lightening and depending on how bad the wind gets but i am drawn into the danger and i love the adrineline rush that i get from being outside in a thunderstorm i think they are annoying sometimes because they usually decide to pop up just as i am trying to do something outside haha
