This is a shot of one group of my Olive Grape Tomatoes formed. They are elongated like an olive and sweet tasting. Larger than the ordinary grape tomatoes. What types of tomatoes do you have growing? What type is your favorite to eat? Mine is Roma as they are very juicy, soft and small sized, and great for salads. Grape tomatoes or cherry ones are great for snacking right of the plant for me. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Hi GRANDPA BOB, I love those tomatos and they do look like olives, you know I love cherry tomatos and I can eat the whole packet while I am mylotting, but you have the fresh home grown so its bound to taste a lot better. Tamara

I have never heard of those types of tomatoes before. I never heard of the grape tomato either. WE are growing beef steak tomatoes this year along with some Big Boys. Those are our favorite ones. I have heard of cherry tomatoes though and they are very small and good for salads also.

My mom always liked Roma because it did not get so "liquid" in sandwiches. I have fond memories of Beefsteak and Better Boy tomatoes. I love any kind of fresh ripe tomato. I find Early Girl and Celebrity to be very good and pretty early in the garden.

I've never heard of Olive Grape Tomatoes will have to check into it. Afraid I don't have anything but a couple herbs growing in pots on the front porch this year and their not doing too well... I'm hoping to pick up a couple tomatoe plants this weekend but still don't know where on earth I'll put them - this yard get next to no direct sun (first hour of the morning about it). Cherry toms my favorite and beefstakes for slicing or canning although I did have a few Roma last year and they canned very nicely.

A couple of years my son grew some tomatoes, different types. It don't matter to me what kind they are, they are all great but for a hamburger or sandwich I like the really big ones, one slice will fit.

I'm supposed to have some Early Girl tomatoes coming up but even though I planted them more than 3 weeks ago I haven't seen any sign of them. Too bad, I'll try planting some more when I feel a bit better because I'm just now beginning to enjoy tomatoes in my salads. I've never liked them and suddenly--I kind of do!

I am not growing any, but my daughter loves those little grape tomatoes. She begs for them whenever we go to the grocery store. I get strange looks when my 2 year old is begging for tomatoes.
