Dawn-
I don't always wear make up per se, unless it's a special day, but I do always brush my teeth, fix my hair, and make sure that I am presentable if I am going to leave my home. Of course, even if I'm not leaving the home I do the same thing on a daily basis. I can't stand to feel like I just rolled out of bed. Though, there are those days that I enjoy staying in my pajamas, but I'll still fix my hair, etc. I'm not sure how much of it is a habit though and how much is the need to be attractive. Maybe for humans it is a bit of both. Maybe part of it is our animal need to be groomed. I mean, watch any animal and they groom, so we're not that far removed I suppose.

Usually if I stay in my pjs, I don't brush my hair etc. It's like it's a package deal. When I get dressed I do everything that goes with it. Silly, but that's my routine. The exception is brushing my teeth. If I'm staying in my pjs, I'll still brush my teeth because I can't stand how they feel if I don't.

My hair too, I just don't always brush it right away in the morning.

I can't go wihtout brushing my hair twice a day. I've very long hair and it's very thick and curly. If I don't brush it twice a day , it's darn near impossible the next day without conditioner. And I'm with you, I can't stand the feeling of non-brushed teeth lol.

i am very low maintenance, this does not mean that i do not put some effort into my appearance. if i say i shall be ready in 20 i mean it. this has always shocked people, but i believe that time is valuable and i do not like to be late. in this 20 min i can catch a thorough shower, brush my teeth, get dressed, put on some make and brew myself a coffee that i can have on the run. it is all about the economical use of time. choosing clothing to wear is not an issue as all mine is black, makes things simple.

I HATE being late. And it positively stresses me when people make me wait or if people I am with make me late. Drives me nuts!!!

We used to tell my in-laws an hour earlier than the real time and they'd still manage to be late!!!

i know, being late is like saying, i do not value your time. makes me crazy, if being late cannot be helped i call in advance but this hardly ever happens, i am that one who will arrive somewhere with time to spare, because you never know what will happen with traffic or the subway, what with bomb scares, fire drills and jumpers. you just never know.

I'm a no muss, no fuss kinda guy I reckon.
I shower and brush my teeth, get dressed, whack some gel in my hair and head out the door. All in all it takes me 15 minutes tops. I don't shave either because I currently have a beard. Once or twice a week though I'll use an electric trimmer to keep it in check and that takes a few minutes or so each time. I'm definitely low maintenance. As a matter of fact, I'm a KEEPER! But you knew that already.
lol.

Dear Paul McCartney,
Can you send my friend Cynthia some of your money so that she can be a high maintenance lady?
Thanks Pal!

I go really light on the makeup and almost never wear lipstick. For some reason, I don't like how it looks on me. Makes my cheeks look to chubby or something. Oh wait!!! My cheeks ARE too chubby. lol

I consider myself low maintenance. I just take a shower, brush my teeth, brush my hair and I am ready to go. I never have dilemma what to wear....I am ready to go in minutes. I do my make-up in my car..(when I stop for red light)....

When I stay, not drive, I can do my make-up...other people are drinking and eating on the red stop...why not make-up? I can see in advance when the light is changing...
In fact, I was doing my make-up while police car was next to my car...

That's not bad at all. I can get ready in 10 minutes if I have to. Plus half an hour to get the kids act together! :-)

Low maintenance for me. Most of the time I just toss my hair into a hair tie and spray on some body spray and I'm out the door.

Brush my hair or throw on a bandana, usually brush my teeth (unless I'm just throwing something in the garbage bin or something) the thing that takes me the most time is getting dressed fer sure. sometimes it can take me 2 minutes or less but there are those days where nothing looks decent

I can get ready pretty quickly even with makeup. It's getting the kids and all their stuff together that takes forever!

Yes, I can see how children complicates things... Luckily I don't have any little buggers yet :P and even if they take forever, at least you can have yourself ready in a flash :D

I have kind of a different view of high or low maintenance. Can I get up and go, I've done it. Do I always like to, well sometimes you just don't have a choice. If i'm doing yard work and run out of gas, I don't care what I look like just running up to the gas station because the person standing next to me has a pretty good idea that I've been working because he's taking those baby steps back with the cough, gag, cough going on. Hey, I'm working and no one is glamerous when they're mowing the yard.
I do like to look nice when i go out though. I think it's more of me feeling good about looking presentable. Something my grandmother always did if a knock was heard at the door ya know, check hair - put on lipstick. I guess that was just planted in my head at an early age.
I do tent to think that high maintanence is more of a needy person. You know those annoying types that are paranoid about "Do I look okay." "Are you sure" "You don't think I should change do you" You know the ones. The ones that can be the best friend in the world but you want to smack the crap out of them.
I'm low maintenance, I'm real. Yes i like to look good, but life just happens.

Which is a slight digression, but it reminds me of my mother-in-law. She is one of the best cooks and bakers I have ever known, but it's always "I don't like how this came out" or "that isn't soft enough" or whatever. I'm not quite sure if she's her own worst critic or if she's just fishing for compliments about the food, but never once in 26 years of marriage have I ever heard her say, "wow I'm really pleased with the way that came out." Not once!!!

OMG, please don't say that is genetic imprinting through generations!!!! Now that I think of it, my dad always has to comb his hair before he goes into the bank. And mom is always complaining about something in the kitchen. My whole life just flashed before me eyes. I'm doomed, doomed I say.

My hair is much longer now than in my pic....so I do throw it up in a pony tail...what do you think? Cut it and keep it short like in my pic. Or let it grow out and be the oldest teeny bopper with a pony tail? lol
I stopped getting it cut cause it was costing me so much. My hair grows very fast and to look good...it needs cutting every four weeks or so.

I am totally low maintenance physically but I can get extremely high emotionally. I am really high maintenance when it comes to intrinsic things. I can get ready in a jiffy and during big parties I take a little longer but then that's justified, isn't it?

I guess a little of both.I take a bath everyday, brush my teeth, put on moisturiser, sunblock, and lotion, and comb my hair whenenever I go out.I also love different beauty products.I love whitening, brightening, and body scrubbing products.I body scrub once a week.it doesn't hurt to use lots of beauty products to take care of yourself.just know which products suit your skin and lifestyle.

I am a low maintenance kind of woman as in i buy a colour for my hair and my friend colours my hair for me,that saves the hair dresser and a bill.I do wear make up, but it is just eye liner and a bit of mascara and it is always a cheep make not a well known make.I never buy expensive clothes i always stick to the shops to get my clothes from.Happy Mylotting.

I do my own hair, don't wear much makeup, rarely buy expensive makeup (not for years) and if I do buy designer stuff (and I don't mean the expensive designers) it had better be on clearance!!!

In a sense I'm high maintenance. I mean that in the sense that I always have at least blush and mascara on. My hair can be tied up in a messy conclomeration of bobby pins and hairspray, and I can be wearing dirty jeans and a tee shirt...and I'm content. That probably doesn't sound like high maintenance to you...
Let me elaborate.
I hunt. And I fish. And the whole won't-go-out-with-out-a-little-make-up thing still prevails. If i wake up at 4 in the morning to head out to my deer stand..you can bet money on the fact that I'll be wearing a little bit of makeup. Wearing makeup hunting? Really? I know, its slightly ridiculous. But thats just how I was raised.
My mother has always been the woman who won't go out of the house without her blush and mascara, and I believe that a 3 minute makeover makes a world of difference. So, I guess I'm low maintenance on a daily basis, but high maintenance during hunting season. :)

Well unless it takes you an hour to put it on, I still wouldn't call that high maintenance!!!!
