Recession

It is the time to tighten our belts. It is time to exercise austerity measures. It is recession time the world over. Tell me one measure that each of you have taken to counter recession in your personal life.

I am a compulsive spender so I have had to force myself to stay home or just visit friends and I have found it to be very hard thank heavens for Facebook I say as some of the games with the play money within them seems to satify my spending addiction to a point...

i have started shopping sales and using coupons to buy groceries. we hardly eat out at restaurants anymore either. i also stopped paying for haircuts for my son, now i cut his hair myself.

I write my monthly budget and try my best to stick to it. I don't buy anything "extra" except for 1 dress every month ;) I do lost of cost cutting on papers - so good for me and others too. I take public transport instead of taking the luxury of auto rickshaws. :)
