Bourne v Bond

I grew up watching the James Bond movies and have always been a fan especially since the franchise has been revitalised with Daniel Craig taking over the iconic character and turning him into a much darker character. But despite my loyalty to Bond I have to say that the all 3 Bourne movies are excellent and I actually prefer them. In fact Matt Damon has surprised me by playing such a great action figure.
So which do you prefer Bourne or Bond?

The James Bond films havean element of class in them that you cannot find anywhere else, however, i found in the last Bond film "Quantum of Solace" that the plot was mildly disappointing, and boring. On the other hand i found the Bourne seriess thoroughly enjoyable edue to its high intensity of action and a strong mysterious plot. In retrospect i will have to agree will you, bourne takes it.

I agree that Quantum of Solace was a little disappointing, for me it was a little too dark. But then I suppose with Bond going through so many transformations over the years I am sure it will be just another one to get use to.

Hi buddy.. You are really taken a nice topic. I kept telling my friends about Matt damon in Bourne. In fact the series has excelled Bond's. This is because Bourne does everything without digital and advanced gadgets. In the movie he is also against the Interpol. Matt's acting is par excellent and stunts are daring. Bourne also Rock with the already existing good old Bond series. Cheers..

My daughters and I call these the JB movies - James Bond and Jason Bourne. Tough question, even if we have discussed the characters and the plots ages ago. The Bond series had evolved through the decades. The different actors, from Sean Connery to Roger Moore, from Pierce Brosnan to Daniel Craig, each had given Bond their own interpretation of the role. They are all good, considering the technology for the cinematic effect at the time they did the movie. Daniel Craig's Bond actually gave light as to Bond's psychology, why he is so tough, almost unfeeling when he kills, and why he changes his women as often as he changes an assignment. Bourne has a different plot. He is a brainwashed deadly assassin in search of himself. Matt Damon did justice to Bourne. Have you read the Ludlum book? Wow!
