Simple Things

(Thank you in advance for reading my poem).
Gold and silver aren't her style,
she's not a diamond girl,
she likes the simple things in life,
not amethyst or pearls.
It's funny that for someone
who is not so fond of gems,
is inundated with them
from her family and friends.
She very much appreciates
their beauty God created,
but says in total honesty
that simple things are the greatest.

You are wonderful with words. Did I say that already? That is such a beautiful poem. Dedicated to anyone in particular? I honestly think that you should work for hallmark or american greetings or something. I'm sure they can use a talent like yours.
