http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/8127483.stm A Cookery programme I saw a while back (Hosted by Rick Stein?) wanted to recreate a dish featuring Lamprey,once an immensely popular fish in London-but Lamprey were no longer being fished in the Thames-He had to go to the Baltic to get some! Maybe now He can do the show again with Locally caught fish! (Wasn't too keen on the Idea of the blood sauce that went along with this bloodsucking fish dish,though..) Had you heard of these fish returning to the now cleaner Thames?
