Do you re-read your post/reply before you hit "Start Discussion" or "Submit Response" ?
I do, there are almost always errors to fix, and unfortunately here you can't even edit your responses
I know some people do not do this and it makes their posts harder to read with all the mistakes left in.

Hello K46620, I try to correct any mistake I make but sometimes I miss one.If I post and notice a mistake I try to add to what I posted to make a corection. Some days I over look the mistakes but haven't had any complaints. There are some who make a point of correcting and if they have a problem with mistakes then I see it as their problem.I had a former b/f that corrected my grammar and he he has no idea my b/f and I and some cousins use his name when one of us gets corrected for a mistake by someone else. We say "OK JIMMY"
. Then we laugh

There are times when I accidentally press submit instead of preview and I notice that my post has a lot of mistakes, but then the deed is done. I wish we had an edit button or facility to edit our posts. This is one feature that I really miss here on mylot.

Hi K46620, I have to admit I just type and submit and it usually takes longer for the post to reach the add tag stage than it does to type it which is pretty aggravating. I didn't think I typed with mistakes except the odd typo but one came up in a discussion I started in the title and I felt pretty silly. I think the harder to read posts are probably posted by those using English as a second language and then I would not mind as think they are trying to improve their English. Also there are English speakers who continually mis-spell the same word over and over but I don't think that's down to quick submitting, just that is how they think a certain word is spelled.

I don't really proofread my posts, and I suppose I should, as after I submitted them, then I would see misspelled words, and makes me wonder how I could have misspelled them. I guess it is easy especially if you get your fingers on the wrong keys. Now, when I type, and I misspell a word, it will be underlined in red so I know it is misspelled. I figure that way, if I don't see any red lines that I really haven't misspelled any words and so I figure I didn't have to proofread them. I might do that from now on though. It doesn't take all that long to proofread them anyway. Well, good luck to you and happy mylotting.
