Little Snob

My home computer desk sets right in front of a window so I can see my backyard while conducting business or just playing around. I have a few bird feeder outside my window. Well there is this little Chickadee that is such a snob. It will set there and filter through all the bird seed until it finds a sunflower seed. Granted that is probably telling me something, I should just buy sunflower seed, but it seem most of the other birds will eat the little seeds that the little snob would not. My biggest problem with this act of snobbishness is the chickadee throws the little seeds onto the ground. Now maybe the other birds will find the seeds but I do not see them doing so. I always thought beggar should not be choosers but I guess that does not apply to birds.

LOL we had some blue jays doing the exact same thing-and dumping what they didn't want on the ground. the jays piss me off royal because they're bullies,they will chase away the other birds from the feeder.

On my land I have a family of blue jays. Last year I saw two juvenile blue jays, and this year I saw two more juveniles. As to the dumping issue do you think it is because I am using the cheap stuff? I would rather buy more expensive bird food if all the bird food was going to be consumed.

it's probably just the first bird there's preference. i know my local jays only seem to eat the sunflower seeds.i just ended up having two feeders,so they'd leave the other alone.
