I am a senior citizen and am taking continuing medical treatments for cancer and when I received a message that was making all kinds of claims about how medicare was going to be changed, I decided to check it out. I don't know why some people want to put such claims up on the internet to scare people into thinking the way they do. You can check it out here: http://www.snopes.com/political/medical/seniordeath.asp

Iriscot...I am sorry for your health problems and hope that you will be well soon. I hesitate to respond for fear of being taken wrong. Please understand that I am not being confrontational at all. Snopes recently 'changed' it's mind about what hospital the president was born in...most likely due to 'pressure' from without. They were in good company, UPI also changed their mind. I do not value the information I find on snopes after finding out that the site is run by a husband and wife who merely re post what other sites have. I don't like to trust what I believe to just one source anyway. Especially when it is only two people picking and choosing what is true and what is not. With that said...I am sorry that you are scared. I know this must be a difficult and trying time for you. May I say that sometimes it is good to be scared...especially when faced with what you are faced with. I hope you are able to find what is true and actually taking place within the healthcare reform. I pray that your doctors and nurses and other healthcare workers are able to do their job...and make you well.

I thank you for your concern debrakcarey and if I have caused you any hurt for statements that I have made in the past, I apologize. There are many political boards and discussions that are constantly taking place and the only non-political leaning place that I can find correct information is snopes.com. I made a typing error when posting the URL and have corrected it. I think that you will find that their information about what is going around about the medicare insurance cause is fair and political leaning. If you chose not to read it, that is your choice. Here is the correct URL: http://www.snopes.com/politics/medical/seniordeath.asp I hope you are well and have a great life, I have many nurses at the treatment center who are in my eyes "Angels" and I'm sure the patients that you deal with feel the same about you. They treat their patients as human beings and not just another number. I have great respect for nurses and most doctors.

No need to apologize....;) I understand where you are coming from now and I too may have been to 'passionate' in my postings. I also understand what you are going through...and the need to feel secure and safe and to be able to trust those caring for you. I am glad you have the resources and staff to make that happen for you. I do not trust snopes.com....as they seem to have caved in to the White House and changed what they had up as true...to suit the President's new story. All that aside...I am sure that the info you have is correct as you have great motivation to make sure it is. God Bless.
