I was wondering. Do you ever have people in the public, recognize you from the internet? I think i did have the other day, and apparently, it made them speechless.

So far I've never encountered anyone recognising me from my blog. I've never recognise anyone from the internet too. But I think it would be great to accidentally bumped into one another and think, hei, you look familiar! And start to think real hard who that person is...

It did not happen to me but it happened to my boyfriend. A friend of mine who my boyfriend have not met before had recognized my boyfriend in a restaurant here in the Philippines because of pictures that I have posted in facebook. I don't know if that still counts. Lol. :)

I actually NEVER have this happen to me! Most of the people I interact with (at least as far as on MyLot goes) are people who don't live in my own country..So it would be hard to bump into them. I have, however, bumped into people who I had added on facebook but don't really talk to very often, but that wasn't awkward or anything because we knew eachother - although we weren't necessarily the best of friends.
That's funny about seeing someone in real life like you did! Were they from myLot?

No, they were not from Mylot. Not that i know of anyway. They could, i suppose, use a different name on here, but i did not recognize them as being from Mylot.

For me - I have learned there are a lot of things you don't need to spread over the Internet and its one of the reasons I rarely post pictures of myself. What I do on the Internet is kind of like me being of another identity where I don't need to worry about someone knowing who I am and that having some sort of basis about me and also I'm at freewill to say whatever I want without public attention being brought to it. And of course there is always a security warning. So never post pictures unless you want everyone knowing stuff about you.

I suppose that would be a little bit too late for me. I am a published author, and have poems and articles all across the internet.

oh really what happened? did you guys at least try to say you look fimilar. well yes i met someone in public that i met on the internet. i was in line for some food and the guy was right in front of me and keap looking at me. and it was super arkward i didn;t know what to say. i just keap looking behind me. and thats the only time something like that has happened. i think its awesome and kind of weird to see someone on the internet and real life. thats why i feel like i can never do online dating. i like making connections in person less pressure and less arkward.

I don't do online dating. That is something that i never felt comfortable with getting in to, so, nope, it was not that type of "getting noticed."
I do write articles, poems, and have some published books. I just was not prepared for the reaction in public.
