Hello cwong77,
When I just started, I would sent friend request to others and mostly to members who responded to my discussion for the first time. That's how I added friends to my list before. Nowadays, I seldom send friend request but I always approve whoever wants to be on my friend list. I welcome all of them until at one point, when I need to clean up the 'mess', I will decide who should stay on the list

Hello friend,
I have not seen any limit to the number of friends here as of now.I am reluctant to add people on my own but at the same time, I hardly put down any friend request that I get. I go through the profile once and after that I normally approve the request.
Cheers!

i added the mylotters who happened to respond to the very first discussion i posted. in this way i had a steady supply of discussions to respond to since mylot sends them through email. i got 5 pages of friends then. along the way other mylotters requested a friendship so i have 7 pages now. i've been a member since february.

Hi cwong77,
I never request to add as a friend from my discussion responder or commenter of my response. But, I always accept any request to be add as a friend. Except one for a reason
. I don't mind to have a friend who have a different school of thought as I believe this is a discussion. And every discussion should have a different idea to be progress.
Happy mylotting and have a nice day.

No, cwong, I dont add everyone into my friends list. We can have one friends list, but the numbers of friends in it depends on you. If you have too many, but doesnt frequent them often, you'll be stagnant in their eyes and therefore, they wont priortise you as they top friend anyway. So to me, it's better to have not too little, not to many, just nice so that I can monitor and frequent them all often. :) You are in my friends list too btw.

From what I can tell, there is no limit on the amount of friends you can have in here. The main thing is do you want everyone to be your friend, and just what type of things you are expecting from everyone on your list as well. Personally I do have a lot of people in my Friends list, and have a lot of people requesting to be on it more all the time. I also am going in from time to time updating my list as well just to see who is still active in here as well. Personally I do not add everyone who asks as not everyone sees things the way I do nor do I have time to respond back to all of my friends New discussions in here as well. But in all I think it overall is what works the best as well.

I wouldn't add everyone that comments on my discussion. If they say something that interests me, agrees with me and understands what I mean, or if they disagree and their different opinion is fascinating to me, I'll send them a request. If we tend to comment on the same discussions a lot, whether I started them or not, I'll send them a request.
I'm not sure how many friends we can really have, but I would think that it would be limitless. :)

lovinglife 139, thanks for the sharing. I will also not adding everyone, however if I see them twice commenting on the discussion, then I will add them.. I am new, therefore, think this is the best way to keep friends while waiting for the other referral to enter.
