I like to keep a low profile. I like to appear dumber than i am. It gives me free room to operate and helps me avoid the distractions associated to high profile and publicity.

I guess you could say that I'm high profile because I've mostly been in management or other positions where I've had to deal with those in authority and I had to come across as knowledgeable and capable. My husband and I now own a small business and we have become very high profile in our community and the surrounding area in order to promote our business.

Well in business, you need to promote your product by yourself. But as a scholar, your work speak for you. In art, your work also speak for you.

This is true so I guess you could say I had the best of both worlds before I gave it all up to move to Florida. My field was computer and network technology in an academic environment. I worked my way up the ladder, not only based on the quality of my skills, but also based on my ability to interact with our "customers" who were the instructors, deans and students. Our "work" was the equipment and the software that was on it...our "art" was making it work flawlessly on multiple campuses across multiple networks...even at a moment's notice.

If everyone acts the way you act, a down to earth and humble person, this world will be a nicer place to live in. But trying to appear dumb all the time will portray you as a weak person. And this will let other people take advantage of you. So it is better to stay the real person you are.

Low profile doesn't make u weak, rather it hides your weakness. Am not weak and nobody who ever come across me have said so. Am just saying that i believe in action not words. Why move about saying do you know i can fight am a great fighter. Why do you just fight and let you actions speak for you. I guess you wouldn't have know M. Jackson, if he has been touring america telling people do you know i can dance and sing. Just lay low, do ur thing. U can hide the sun.

I totally agree with you. I too like to keep a low profile and show that i am dumber than i really am. This does as you said give me room for doing somethings and not get into an argument or discussion on the topics i don't like.
