I am living in a facility without a stove. I have discovered that I can cook some killer soup in a small crock pot! About a week ago I found out that basil and oregano make for a great full tasting soup! Any other ideas or soup recipes.. remember it's a small pot!

I like to add kidney beans and green beans, also garbanzo beans (also known as chick peas) to the water, with maybe a can of chicken. It's a healthy blend and has good fiber filled vegies in it. And one cube of boullion (disolved first, lol). Happy cooking!

I almost forgot, does the facility you're in allow a hot plate? It might be a good investment as a backup plan...

A hot plate is a good idea, I am not sure about it! I am not really sure they allow the crock pot!! I do add chicken every now and then.... and sometimes lentils, I'll have to check out the garbonzo beans though!! Thanks
