We talk of women's lib and equality, but it still remains a big concern for women in many countries to live under the shadow and constant fear of her husband's wrath. Why do women have to live under their husband's control, when they too can live and contribute to their family's success? Physically abused, and mentally tortured, these poor women have nowhere to go once they marry. Shouldn't we do something to free these unfortunate souls from the clutches of insanity? Women should be given their due and respected for what they are. This is what a happy family is all about.

Women have had a long and hard road to earn equality. Even in America often women are still suppressed in many ways. I can only imagine how it is for those less developed countries. I think that it is going to be tough to help liberate these women from these types of situations though. Many countries believe that the woman is beneath the man and it is how things are suppose to be. It is hard to believe that we are all on one planet and things are so different in different parts of the world. It is amazing that we are all of the same species and live and behave so differently. I wish there were something that could be done but who would even know where to begin? Maybe only time will liberate these women.
