Northern Lights. by a long way.
I loved all of the books, but Northern Lights was by far my favourite. The Subtle Knife was my least favourite of the three.
The third was probably my favorite but maybe that was mostly because I was so looking forward to reading it after having enjoyed the first two, and wanting to complete the story.
