Well, if you are over in England, and you are a woman and post menopausal, maybe you could find out.

I've done a few research studies, and I'd LIKE to take part in this one - too bad they aren't doing it in TEXAS!
So, if you could, would you take part in this year long study? I sure would!

Hey Elic! I almost qualitifed except that I don't have type 2
Diabetes and don't live in England! What are they trying to
do kill the women who are Diabetic? Why are they feeding them
chocolate? Diabetic's are not supposed to have that much
sugar so I'm really confused! I guess they'll keep a close
watch on them since it is some kind of weird experiment! But,
I would love to participate in a chocolate eating experiment
and I know lots of women who would gladly volunteer!

Well, obviously, it'd be sugarless. We used to get sugarless chocolate for my mom (who was diabetic).

Well, I dont have diabetes so that might be a problem. I have read and seen medical stories on the benefits of chocolate. Apparently about one ounce a day of dark chocolate is good for your heart. More than the single amount does nothing more than make you fat(LOL). Now can I eat just one? Nope! But I would love to be in a study.

Hi Elic,
Its all very well but there are side affects, yes, gaining weitht so what good is for your heart, don't believe in all this, its just another experiment.

Way to go! Wouldn’t mind a bit of chocolate surveying! I would probably be sick of the stuff by the end but what the heck, I would give it a go! I don’t have type two diabetes and I live in Australia, otherwise I would be there! Anything to help...

On the surface, it sounds like a chocoholic's heaven. However, the higher the grade of chocolate, the less is needed to satisfy, so two bars a day of "super" chocolate might soon become a burden.
Interestingly enough, just before I read your post I had a 1" square of 77% extra dark chocolate.

LOL--I'm just betting after a month or two though the "test"subjects would be so fed up with chocolate...It's like people who work in chocolate factories, I bet they either get fed up with the smell of it or maybe get so used to it they just plain don't notice. I have to be careful not to eat too much chocolate or sweets in general due to my low blood sugar problem...if I do eat too much I feel like I have a hangover.
