As others have explained, the star rating is given to you by other mylotters who feel your discussions and responses are good and qualitative. Then the number of best responses also add to this. The rating helps you in your overall earning :) All the best.

It is the ratings that other users have given to your posts in discussions, whether they be positive or negative. You will find that there are some that rate negative because they don't agree with you. That is a given. Yet, there are others that will rate you positie. All you can do is your best and let the chips fall where they may. When I first got my star it was a 3 and now I am a 9 but I have only just recently got the 9. Just do your best and yours will go up too. Once you have been here awhile and you participate, then users will get to know you better and rate you higher. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.
