If my child had nits I would not let them go to anyones house until they were cleared up ,she needs conditioner and a nit comb coat the head with conditioner and comb the hair through till they are gone,or buy some lotion and if your child has them you are supposed to do the whole familys hair.Men are about the only ones who don't get them very often as their hair is usually short.I would not let any child in to my house with nits you were right, and tough if the mother is upset she might do more to clear her childs hair of them quicker.

My brothers and I have all ended up with lice at one time or another when we were growing up and we didn't get to stay the night or go to our friends house while we had them.
I also ran a daycare for numerous years and one weekend had a special sitting job for 15 kids that were all related while the parents all got together for a reunion. Well, it was an overnight sitting job and the kids all slept on the living room floor in sleeping bags. It wasn't till the next morning that we discovered that 3 of the kids had head lice...and their mother knew before she brought them. The kids said she told them not to tell b/c she didn't have another sitter. I felt bad b/c I had to tell all the other parents that their kids had been exposed to head lice. I also had to have my carpets cleaned and the furniture cleaned as well. It was a major hassle.
Ppl don't realize or don't care that by letting their kids around others when they have that, that they are creating a lot of extra aggrivation for no reason. I don't blame you for not wanting them around till their all gone. I hope your friend doesn't catch them from her daughter.

I had lice in my hair when I was in school till in college, I remember my mother was using so many things to eradicate that but sometimes it would go and sometimes it comes back again so I had it till college days and once a friend had seen that so I was very ashamed and I did all possible cure to remove all the lice in my hair.

hi,
when my child if ever had a lice of course i still allow her to play in the other houses of her friends, and of course it will depend upon the parent or the mother on how she will remove those lice in the head of her child, and also i will the friend of my child to play in our house too.
