It is considered polite manners to speak soft in a telephonic conversation. But that holds true with the landline phones where the voices are audible and we can speak with a low tone. There too some times we have to be loud in long distance calls. Now with cell phones,we have to attend calls anywhere even when the signals are low.So we cannot avoid raising our voice sometimes. On a busy street, you have to be loud to speak over the noises outside.I conclude that it is not always possible to speak in a low tone.Cheers!

Thats absolutely correct. We cannot lower our voice in a busy street and taking long distance calls. Really well said. Thanks for posting your comment. God bless you. Happy Mylotting...

well, talking loud on the cell phone is discourtious. one must talk softly and if there are network problems then one must try dialing again. incase there is a sutuation that the sound is not reaching then one has to increase the pitch. well, in such conditions one must move away from people and talk from a place where people would not be disturbed.

Yeah...some people go crazy when they use cellphones..speaking loud and letting the world know that they have a car, they have a boyfriend who attends to her anytime she needs him, they are rich, they are sad, they are dining out tonight...as if we are here only to listen to whats happening in his / her life. Especially people who are illiterate...they are so excited seeing their cellphone ring in a crowd and heads turning towards them...they soon pick it up and talk as loud as they can..hoping to draw attention...disgusting...

Yes I do agree the same. But some people don't really know that they are loud on their cell phones. For them someone must tell them. Thanks for sharing your views. Cheers. Happy Mylotting.

I try to keep my voice down when I am on my cell phone. I do not like to talk when I am driving and I usually leave the room if I need to take a call. Sometimes I am not able to, but most of the time I do.

I have seen many persons like this as if they are only in the world talking over the phone disturbing others. I really feel annoyed by these kind of people but what can we do. They themselves do not know that they are so much loud while on phone. Once I asked a person why you were shouting so much while talking on the phone. He replied who,, me...are you joking......I was talking so quitely and you are simply blaming me.

I often see people in public places to speak loudly. Play loud phones, this is not pleasant. But there is no better way to stop them. This is really very angry.

i think i was guilty once of having been too loud on my cellphone. when someone called me when i was inside a public vehicle. anyways, inside the public vehicle were some people i don't get to use the cellphone often for calls mostly i use it for texting. it just so happen someone called me and i felt obliged to answer. anyways, my friend on the other end of phone kept asking me what i was doing, where i was, and those kind of questions and she could not hear clearly so i have to talk out little louder than my normal but i was too conscious though of my voice. anyways, it happened only once and i don't think i cause some disruption or discomfort towards people around me. i felt like they were listening to every word that i said though.

I work in a grocery store and see this all the time. It can be really quite annoying. Particularly when a person comes up to one of the service counters (such as at the deli or seafood departments) and makes it seem like we are putting them out because they have to interrupt their phone conversation to tell us what they would like. As much as i am sure it would be frowned upon by my managers in the past, i have been known to skip over a customer in line and move onto the next one if they are too engrossed in their phone to give me their attention. That said, whenever i am talking on my phone, i always do it in a private, quiet manner. I try never to use my phone in a store, particularly when i am goig through the checkout lane. If i am on my phone and am going into a store, i will stand out side, explain to th person on the other end that i have to go do some shopping now, and that i will call them back when i am done.

I hate talking loud on cellphones but when I hear somebody is talking loud with his/her cellphone, i don't mind them, I am just concerned with what the others who listens will say..I'm afraid s/he would be the topic of the people around him/her..Whenever I have a phone call I always see to it that my voice is just enough that the one i am talking with can hear me clearly, that's all that matters..

I usually encounter this kind of people on my day to day routine, and I find them so disturbing and annoying . They didn't mind the people around them . When I have talk to someone with my cellphones I always make sure that I will not disturb anyone around me, its just like respecting other people's privacy .

I have seen people talk very loud on their cell phones even when it seems like they can hear perfectly fine. Also i notice that during some conversations you can hear the other person through the speakers even when it is not on speakerphone.

My daughter is number one on the list for this one .I do see it alot in public to with others ,its almost as if they want you to hear who did what! Like we care. I am not sure if they think they have to do this to be heard ,or just want to be heard by everybody who surrounds them.I do hate it though ,but I also hate a loud mouth in general.

Really. Situations may differ. I too talk loudly without knowing me on my veranda. My dad told me to lower my voice. After that I never raised my voice esp in public. Thanks for sharing..

I also feel annoying when people talk loud on their cellphones, especially on the public transports. I usually speak as soft as I can. For some reason that my other side could not hear me, I will cover my mouth and the handset with my hand. This can effectively reduce the noise, and the one who is talking to me on the phone can also hear me more clearly and loudly. Happy myLotting=]

Anyhow ,it is not polite for others .If only the listener can hear your voice ,there is no need to loud .Others are not deaf. You really don't need to so loud when you talk to others .

Thats really the one I agree. There is no need to talk loud. May if the signal is week... Cheers.. Have an awesome day...
