The Brevard Zoo sent an e-news letter to its members asking them NOT to come today. They were having a school supply drive and expected 3,000 people to show up. Evidently, this was an event for people to get into the zoo for free if they brought school supplies with them. I wonder if that is going to help anyone. There are school supply drives all around the area, but I haven't heard of any school receiving the supplies. Isn't that odd? Have you ever been asked Not to go somewhere because of a special event taking place? Blackout dates do NOT count.

That is amazing! I would love to see that email actually so that I could forward it to the zoo people here. What a great idea!

I would have to have an email address to forward it to. If you want I can email it to you. It might cut and paste and I could put it into a pm for you. It looks professional on the internet. I am sure if they mailed them to people it wouldn't look so nice. LOL I totally agree. All the parks should give a heads up to their members when something big is going on. I didn't want to go and deal with that mess. Disney should do that for their "days" when they have different cultures that always brings a mass of people.

I thought you had my email address from the note I sent from that other website. I'll PM it to you.
