Why women are used as commodity?

Woman in advetisement - Women are used as commodity.In most of the advertisement women's pictures are used.This technique is used to attract the customers specially the male buyers.

In most advertisements w omen's pictures are used to attract the customers. Even advertisement for man's underwear women's pictures are used.I think this mentality is one kind of perversion. Why women are used as commodity?
