Hi friend, I am too happy after hearing that now we can get rid of IE from windows 7. As now user has the choice of which browser he/she want 2 use. As whenever I utilize it Inernet explorer just sucks. It hangs quite frequently on my system I wont know why? it is too slow. It won't have an option to save the opened tab. Security is not good too. Enjoy mylotting with a wait for windows 7.

why to wait for windows7,even if you have ie you can use other browsers. just download chrome or mozilla from their respective sites and start using one of them, both are far better than ie.and both are freeware only.

Hi friend, As you have suggested to use other browsers. I am utilizing firefox for more than a year. Actually I want to get rid of IE completely. I wont want even a trace of it in my system. As It eats a lot of disk space of my system and its updates are too heavy too download. Enjoy mylotting.

Go To Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs - Add/Remove windows components : Here Deselect Internet explorer. Press NEXT - FINISH. You will not have a trace of Internet Explorer. Cheers

Few days back, while installing my Operating system(Windows XP), the option to select the Internet Explorer.(Installing the optional components) SO it seems that we are having the option of avoiding it.Also after the installation of OS, I was not able to to see the IE in my desktop and only after installing from the "Optional Components" I was able to see the IE icon in my desktop .But as I installed soon after the installation of OS, I am not able to confirm it,But when I am installing the OS, I will check it out.

Hi friend, Really same is the case when you want to upgrade your IE thinking may be newer version is better, but again it force us to avoid it. When going through my OS installation I remember it shows IE took only 0.0 mb. So I checked it. It can be installed later too by going through add or remove programs- Add new programs. Enjoy mylotting.
