Congress Bought 3 Gulf Stream 550 jets

at $65 million a piece. Why? To transport top government officials. Please tell me how this is better than when the Auto Execs flew private jets to Washington? Please tell me how Pelosi and Reid have any semblance of integrity?

Are there actually people left in America who really believe most of our elected officials aren't the most elite of the elite class. I wouldn't be surprised one bit to hear that America's elected officials are using these jets for their own personal vacations and to hop around the globe on "business" that they've used telephones for previously. Absolutely horrific waste of taxpayer money, but absolutely no shock on my part.

Now Ted, you wouldn't want them to fly commercial with the common folk, would you? I think that's disgusting...those jets should go back...but, of course, they won't.

Personally, I think there should be no special military jets for anyone who isn't protected by the Secret Service. No member of congress is transported by military aircaft for their protection.. only their ego.

They thought they could hide them, I guess, in all the smoke and mirrors. What the American people don't know won"t hurt us, right? I think the rules only apply to people, not congressmen and government officials.

True. Even though the US Constitution bans any titles of nobility, our ivory tower elected officials somehow think they are above us.
