Another Wednesday

Well, Wednesday is the day we get the trash out, since they pick it up at the crack of dawn - sometimes BEFORE - tomorrow.
I get home and there's the recycling... The roomie finally cleaned her room and got the boxes out of there. Now, we've been on this diet for 2 and a half MONTHS and she still had a dead pizza box in this pile! So, I get home and start sorting thru the pile, breaking down boxes to go into other boxes and putting plastics and cans in the bin. This only took 15 minutes or so - but its 100+ out there!
I come in, turn on the ac and load the dishwasher.
Finally I get to come in and sit down. Well, about an hour later the roomie comes and say - cat boxes. So, out into the rest of the house I go and start dumping cat boxes. Well, after gathering all the trash and the rest of the recycling - we've got it all done BEFORE 6.
So, HOPEFULLY, we can go to bed EARLY - what a concept!

nope, someone has to do it and the roomie says "my back hurts" so I do the standing up part
the other roomie used to do them, and take them out and scrub them, but we don't do all that - and her hip is acting up - anyway, she's out of town this week

Well at least it is all done now. I really wish my daughter would do a better job of cleaning and organizing cause this place is a pigsty. But it's not my place so I can't worry about it.

Oh crap! You just reminded me that I forgot the cat boxes here. ugh!! Tigger kept pestering about it as well but with me being so tired, I kinda ignored him.
Bet you both feel great with what you acomplished today. You guys need to get a system going so your not doing all this at the last minute. Maybe breaking down the boxes when your finished with them instead of leaving them pile up. Putting the plastic and cans in the bins as you use them as well. This way they are already sorted. With recycling here, it all goes into the same bag and they separate the recycebles at the garbage facility.
Have you guys lost any weight with the diet? If so, congrats!! I'm on a seefood diet but trying to eat healthier as well. With the garden, I'm loading up on fruits and veggies and less of meat. I've already cut down drastically on the junk food. I'm finding I don't crave the chocolate like I used to either.

Sounds like a lot of boxes which, hopefully, means a big gap where the boxes used to be. You guys lost alot of weight between you. That's awesome! I need to lose over 100lbs. myself. With all the walking I'm doing and healthier eating, I can see me losing some of it before winter sets in. Now, if I don't go tend to those cat boxes now, Tigger gonna come back in here and smack me for ignoring it.

they all go in the same bin - but we did some cleaning a couple of weekends ago and had repacked broken boxes so we had those to go out and there were a lot more than the bin could hold! And the roomie cleaned her pile too and put out a bunch more boxes. Yeah, we could've broken them down as we took them out, but we were too tired to do more than haul them outside.
And we have small recycle containers in the house, and take them out as they get full, but today it was "last call" for everything to go out.
Yeah, I've lost about 15-20 lbs, the roomie's lost 25-30 lbs. We've barely bought any meat since the diet started - since an 8 oz steak makes 4 meals (well, 1 for me and 3 for the roomie) - unless its pretty fatty, then it might be 3 meals...

Sounds like you had a full day.
Normally, I would put the garbage out Tuesday night but because we had a holiday this Monday, pickup is pushed ahead a day, so I've put out my garbage tonight, too (mostly yard waste).

Man, you were busy! You'd think she'd have done at least half the work.
I live alone so I have only one bag of trash a week. I do have to break down a lot of boxes, though, and store them in the attic. I like to have boxes around just in case I need some.

oh, she put the empty boxes in trash bags and put litter in the boxes and actually did the lifting of the cat litter tubs and helped dump them in the trash can, but I was doing the standing part - dumping the boxes and then putting the clean full ones back - that's a kind of jigsaw puzzle, not something the "blind chick" is much good at.
same thing with the dishwasher - I can get a third to a half more in than either of the roommies - she unloads it
these boxes were all beat up and torn, the good ones we still have

Just when I sit down, you have to remind me that its trash day for me... I guess I better get back up and go take the trash out... I hope it doesn't take me that long. I'm already exhausted good thing we don't have any cats... too bad we have diaper genies. They are just as bad I'm sure. Anyhow thanks for the reminder. Happy Mylotting.

now I hate it when I'm looking forward to an early night's sleep and it doesn't happen!
