The play-off matches have been decided at the Nyon UEFA Headquarters, of both the Champions League and the Europa League (created to replace the UEFA Cup). Does your favourite team play in these play-offs? How do you think they will do? My favourite team, Steaua Bucharest (Romania) will be playing against St. Patrick's (Ireland), and I think they have very big chances of qualifying to the Europa KLEague group stage. If you don't know what matches have been decided, you can check out the Champions League schedule here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Champions_League_2009%E2%80%9310#Play-off_round and the Europa League schedule here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Europa_League_2009%E2%80%9310#Play-off_round If you don't have a favourite team involved in these play-offs, is there any game you find interesting and care to comment upon?

Hi stvasile, I think you put this discussion in a wrong place. It should go to soccer interest (I hate to call it soccer actually). Football here is for American rugby. No wonder I can see your discussion before I start mine. My favorite team is Liverpool and they qualify to the group stage automatically. But I love to see the Arsenal vs Celtic, Fiorentina vs Sporting Lisbon, Lyon vs Anderlecht and Panathinaikos vs Atletico Madrid. As we know, Arsenal and Fiorentina already qualify when the beat their opponent yesterday. Lyon is almost there too after winning their first round 5-1. Panathinakos had a hard time today after lost their home games 2-3 against Atletico last week.

Only one nation in the world calls football "soccer" - the USA. The rest of the world calls it football, and they call the American sport "American football". That is why I keep posting discuss regarding football here, and not under the "soccer" topic. If you look at the rankings, I am ranked 1 out of 546 in football - and trust me, I never discussed American football here .

Thanks for the BR. I really appreciate it. That is very bold of you. No one usually do this. But I will support you. Why don't we have democracy here. There is a lot more people like to call this sport as a football rather then annoying soccer. Why we always follow the US rules? That mean I had to go to football interest to look for your discussion. Never go that interest before.
