anyone know how to put verizon cable tv onto a computer?

ive been wanting to get rid of my tv and just use my computer for everything watch movies,surf the web,and also now try to watch tv because my moniter is pretty big and i thought i could just do it all on their.so if anyone knows how to put verizon cable tv on a computer please let me know
