Sec. of Def. Robert Gates said today that it will take "a few years" to secure victory in Afghanistan. That is as expected, but I think there is an opportunity for Obama to really show his stuff here. I don't expect answers from him, since some of the answers would be national security violations, however, Obama, Democrats and Anti War activists of all parties and persuasions made demands of Prs. Bush... so I think Obama would do well to be the Commander in Chief they demanded of Prs. Bush. ~Does Obama have an exist strategy? ~Does Obama have a definition of success? ~What is the over all mission? ~What is Obama and Gates doing to reduce the exposure of our troops to IEDs, Sniper fire and Suicide bombers? ~Obama was completely against the "surge" in Iraq. However, the "surge" worked, and really should have been started right after the increase in terrorist and insurgent attacks following the fall of the Hussein Regime. Is Obama willing to fight this war with the aggression and determination that is required to deny the enemy the ability to continue the fight? ~Will Obama, Pelosi and Reid allow the in country commanders to fight the war, restricting their input to policy making and funding? ~Will all our elected and appointed officials show nothing but support for our troops, and honor them with the respect they deserve?

Where is code pink or the anti-war left right now. I guess they do not care about the lives of our soldiers as they claimed, only electing Democrats. Once Democrats took over all criticism has stop. Really has not it?
