No energy at all

I have no energy and have to keep forcing myself to get things done. I hate doing that. I want to be able to want to do things not force myself to do them. I have to force myself to write articles, I can't concentrate, and I just don't want to do anything. I tried vitamins and even green tea tablets. The green tea helped me lose 4 pounds but did not boost my metabolism like they were supposed to. I think I might have something wrong with my thyroid. I have put on extra weight but thought that was due to the meds I was on since that was a side effect but maybe I have something wrong with my thyroid. I also thought maybe it could be chronic fatigue syndrome or adrenal fatigue. I have been doing research on these conditions but don't know which one it could be. I need to get to a doctor bad. Anyone else ever have this problem? If so, what caused it?

I have hypothyroidism and diabetes. Both conditions cause fatigue, weight gain, memory problems, aches and pains, etc. I would suggest having blood work done to check your thyroid and A1C, which shows how your blood sugar has been over the last few months.

Yeah my psychiatrist wants me to get my thyroid checked because of the weight gain but I blame the weight gain on the meds I was taking at the time. Since I quit taking them I have lost four pounds. It's not much and I am still trying to lose more. I'm not overweight by much though. It could be diabetes since both my mom and dad have it and my grandmother had it. I need to go see my doctor but I have a hard time getting a ride to the appointments now. Anyway, I will get checked as soon as I can. I still think it is because I haven't had my meds lately. Yesterday I was in manic mode and wrote articles up a storm. I finally got some housework done too that I couldn't do with no energy. Today is a so-so day. I wrote five articles and cleaned the house more. It was nothing compared to yesterday though. And the day before I was totally depressed and didn't want to do anything. I had to force myself to write articles and had to force myself to clean. I even had to force myself to get out of bed and get dressed! It was horrible! Tomorrow I get my meds, Thank God! And I have a sample of Act energy drink coming soon. That stuff works great and I am hoping to come up with the extra money to buy some because it really works.

No I have health insurance but I ran out when I was supposed to but didn't have a ride to the pharmacy. That is the whole problem here. I have no car and can't get anywhere unless my mom takes me. She works six days a week and I have to practically beg my dad to take me where I need to go on his days off. I will be ok, don't worry about me. I will get my meds tomorrow and I am changing to a pharmacy that is closer and delivers to my house. Thanks for your concern though.

Did you just not have the money for the meds this month? I hate that you run out all the time and have to live on this roller coaster!

It is because I don't have my meds right now. I get them Thursday. Read my responses above to find out what I figured out what is wrong with me. :)

You're not the only one that doesn't have much energy...I often feel like my get up and go has gone up and went...LOL. I attribute it to a lot of things...the hot weather is one...this week in particular we're getting our first genuine heat wave so that doesn't help. Then my rheumatoid arthritis sure doesn't help and contributes to my low energy. Like you I need to write articles, but just haven't been "with it" I was hoping to get an alternative means to help my arthritis like acupuncture, but then found out my health coverage won't cover it..bugger! There's no way I could pay out of pocket. And I'm just not keen on medications...which is why I wanted to try acupuncture I just ordered a book about acupressure..same principle in a way as acupuncture but without the needles and one can do it oneself by just knowing the pressure points

I think I figured out what is causing my low energy. I have Bipolar disorder and yesterday was a bad day but today I have tons of energy and I think what I went through today was a manic episode. Yesterday I was depressed and had to drag myself around to get things done. I only wrote two articles and two blog posts. Today I wrote five articles and four blog posts and I cleaned house like a mad woman, lol. I get my meds again on Thursday so hopefully I will be back on track. I just don't want to wake up tomorrow being depressed and with no energy again. I don't really mind the manic episodes since I can easily get things done. The only thing I hate about them is that I am not tired and I will probably have trouble sleeping tonight and will have a bad day tomorrow. Hopefully that does not happen! We are going through a heat wave also. The heat is so bad, even with the air conditioners on it is not helping.

Yes I do suffer from depression and I am on meds for it. Maybe the meds quit working, I don't know. I guess I better talk to my doctor about it soon. Thanks for your response. :)
